Born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens, Esther Lelievre, also known as Queen Mixxy, understands the significance of representation and opportunity in shaping the lives of young individuals.
Her commitment to equitable education led her to serve as an Education City Council Representative for District 29, where she advocated for inclusive policies and collaborated with council members from diverse districts to effect positive change.
With a rich background in youth advocacy and media training, Esther has spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at empowering young people. She has organized four youth programs focused on Career/Business Exploration, Entrepreneurship, Cannabis Education, and Financial Literacy, recognizing the importance of providing comprehensive support for youth development. Esther's dedication to youth education is further underscored by Queen Mixxy Media's involvement in the iconic Coney Island Mermaid Parade.
For three consecutive years, Esther orchestrated the operation of the Mermaid Parade and led the youth-education program Behind The Sideshow, a STEM Workshop focused on promoting disability access in science.
As the CEO of MWBE-certified Queen Mixxy Media, Esther continues to champion diversity and inclusion in media production and education. She is also the Co-Founder of the Cultivated Community Foundation and the Founder of The Lelievre Foundation, organizations dedicated to empowering communities through education, wellness, and social justice initiatives.
Through strategic partnerships with institutions such as IS 98, Staten Island teachers, EmblemHealth, Essentia Water, Ayr Wellness, and the West Indian American Day Caribbean Association, Esther has organized impactful initiatives, including book distributions and back-to-school drives.
